I was too knackered to go out birding on Sunday, but Dave S and Gary J headed for Morton Bagot where they discovered a Peregrine and counted three Shelducks. There's always something new next day.

Last night I put the trap out and attracted just five moths. The star was a Small Phoenix, and the others were Double-striped Pug (two), Brindled Pug, Brimstone Moth (nfy), and bloody great queen Common Wasp which looked none too pleased to be detained.

I caught Small Phoenix last year too, but there are only two previous records in the garden.
